We’re living in a time when menopause is more visible than ever. While that visibility is overdue and important, it has also created a wave of overwhelm for women trying to understand what their bodies are doing.
As more women enter midlife, the “menopause market” has exploded. Companies, influencers, wellness brands, and clinics have built entire business models around menopause, creating what many now refer to as a menopause gold rush. There are products, programs, protocols, and supplements everywhere you look, some helpful, some questionable, some expensive, and some outright misleading.
And because algorithms amplify whatever we engage with, many women feel swept into a tsunami of advice. Not all of these voices come from the same lane: some are based on lived experience, others on passion, others on business models, and some on health-related credentials without actual training in hormonal care.
This contributes to the confusion so many women feel:
“Why does everyone say something different?”
“What applies to me?”
“Why does this feel so overwhelming?”
The economic layer matters too.
Women have long faced the pink tax, and menopause has become another place where pricing and marketing target vulnerability. From costly supplements to high-ticket hormone programs, a lot of menopause support now depends on what someone can afford, not what science actually supports.
As a therapist and licensed clinical social worker, my work doesn’t include medical advice. I don’t prescribe hormones, recommend protocols, or sell products. Instead, I focus on helping women reconnect with themselves, understand their symptoms, and approach their healthcare providers with clarity and confidence.
Because menopause is not something to fear or fix, it’s an awakening.
A powerful transition that deserves grounding, support, and honesty.
